Steering box re-enforcment plate
I had to pull my front axle out last weekend so I could set-up my "cryoed" 4.88's(Yukons)
While the axle was out I decided to swap out the leaking steering box that had 200,000 hard miles on it for one that only had 100k street miles.
So as one mod/repair usually does it lead to another mod/repair.
I decided to make a plate to go between the box and frame.
Here it is;
Its made from 1/4" plate
In position;
Now I will have to modify my MORE steering box brace so that it will fit. Ive never installed so I'll throw some pics up when that mod is done.
I also decided to make some bar pin eliminators for the front axle out of some rear sway bar mounts
Here is what they look like;
And for those of you that want to run a power steering cooler, here is what I have;
Its the smallest Hayden tranny cooler, it tucks in behind the front cross member nicely

If you have a aftermarket front bumper and the re-enforcement plate, you will need to upgrade to longer steering box bolts. They need to be 1/2" longer.
My next project is making my track bar frame mount "double shear" for the JKS track bar. i'll also be adding a frame brace for the track bar mount.

for the steering box brace you should weld small peices of tube to it to space the steering box off of it no point in putting a cheesy factory alluminum spacer on top of 1/4" steel and if you dont put the spacers the box wont bolt up right the body of the steering box will hit the plate/frame
heres the one i made i think the tube is 1"- 1/4" wall dom tube and i had to make my spacers a little bit longer because its a durango box
