What about making the "flair" section disconnectable? I've seen that concept on wronglers before and thought it was pretty cool. Just a suggestion. I just dont know how much extra work that would be. Looking good though! Keep up the great work!

 

hey man i dunno what people are talking about. they look sick. i can imagine them finished. they are a little wide but when your talking about the law sometimes you have to right? i plan on making mine in a couple months hopefully and will follow these.

so what materials are they made of. what tube, panel on the body, and peice that connects the tube to the body panel? thanks.

 

well its 7 gauge steel for the panel, the tube im not sure exactly, and the connecting piece is just thin sheet metal. all just welded together and its going to be bolted to the fender not welded. and once you see the bumber you will understand why they are so wide

 

its funny because this is exactly what im gonna do. but im going down the body line and boing the whole lower half of the jeep in bedliner

 

well im not sure exactly what you mean but the whole panel will only be bolted on so should i need to repair them or sell them i have the option

i think he ment to section of the flare that sticks out from the panel. the part that covers the wheels. making it removable to narrow your body for maneuvering tight areas. personally i wouldnt but i think thats what he means.

i almost cryed when i got to that part of your thread, then i saw your wrangler and it made me feel better

 

update: finnaly got another day to work on it, change the set up a little bit, welded it, smoothed the welds and fitted it today. i love the look so far.

 

They look sweet . Ever think of doing more sets to sell ?

 

actually yea i did, and after i get done with them i was gonna see how much i would get for a set.
