not the prettiest things ever yet bacause im not picky about the mendrel bending and suck but i think the look good so far. my problem was that my tires were sticking out 4 inches too far. so this is what i have come up with so far

I take it that's not your daily driver, haha. Looks pretty tough, not pretty but I doubt you did it for style points.

well today was just fitting and testing. its ont tacked on to see if i wanted to change anything. im changind the sheetmetal to a little bit thicker and im gonna finish the welds and paint them a little later. but as you can see its not even posisitioned right because i happened to loose the bolts to hold it on, haha but a few more tweaks and they shall be ready.

funny since it has been a pretty easy process so far once i fit mine on i was thinking about selling either kits or finished products

Once you get it all welded up, grind it all down nice and bedline them. Thats what I did to mine.

I think it looks pretty good so far. Just be sure that the plate follows the body curves.

As far as looking pretty, I think looks should equal function. It could work perfectly, but if you don't take the time to make it look "pretty", then no one but you can appreciate it.

I'm about to start the same project. keep posting pics along the way... it can be my tutorial.

NJ-xj 06-24-2010 10:44 PM

thanks guys and i did plan on bedlining the whole bottom half of the jeep. nothing crazy probalby just the rattle can stuff. but as far as pictures ill put them up as i go along. i also have pics from the beginning. so ill probably due a whole build thread starting with that.

looking petty nice

Captain Ruggy 06-25-2010 03:46 PM

I say go ahead and bedlinbe them when your all done. I used roll on bedliner and think it's better then the stuff in a can. I bedlined the whole qtr panel and the front fender.
