Square tube roof rack
Hey guys. I'm sick of my ugly conduit rack and now that I can weld, I decided its time to build a steel one. This pic is one I found and I'm trying to copy it exact. I'm gonna call a powder coated tomorrow and find out how much it may be, might just spray paint it. I'm gonna do the hi lift mount on one side and repaint our old hi-lift. I'm going to get 32 more feet of steel and plan on finishing tomorrow. Still working on mounting it...

I'm building a roof rack with square tubing real soon, once I get my tax return. I'm using 1" square steel tubing. I'm doing a full sized rack though.
Here's my design, but I have gotten rid of some bars that go across from side to side, but it's the basic design
Can't wait to get building

Here's todays progress. Dad and I also figured out the mounts so I will make them tomorrow and post pics. I got 48" of 2"x3/16" for the mounts and I'm using the stock rack holes in the roof
