Slim Winch Bumper.....
...but no money for winch.
Almost finished with my slim(er) winch bumper. Still need to place a stinger of some sort and add a mini skid underneath that will go back to the radiator support.
I don't think it turned out half bad.

that is a great looking bumper, and yes very slim, liking it alot... nice job. I would just go with a low wide brush bar for the winch, not a stinger, but thats me, do what you wish of course...

Thanks for the compliments guys. I was just posting a pic of my most recent bumper cause someone ask asked if I had finished my xj build yet. Are we ever really finished?
Anyway, I didn't take many build pics cause there're basically all built the same if built correctly. Full tie-in to the unibody with 6 or 7 bolts per side. I made a steering box brace out of some scrap 5/32 material to replace the aluminum cast piece.
Winch plate and tie-in are 1/4 and rest is 3/16.
The thing I wished I would have done different is to recess the clevis mounts into the bumper. Maybe next time.
I do have a few more pics and will post later tonight.

That is almost the exact bumper I had envisioned for the front of my XJ. I love the low profile look. Much nicer than those big bulky ones that some guys make. Great work!!
