Default shackle relocation brackets

Alright well today i made my shackle relocation brackets, i pretty much copied hd offroad ones but here is some pics, they are made of all 1/4" and 3/16th"

why not drill a few holes and make them adjustable?

Probably because most folks will never adjust their shackles once they're installed!

You should be able to pretty accurately place the shackle hole, with the weight on the springs, use the shackle angle you want to obtain, bring that angle forward the height of your shackle, and bam, there's where you hole needs to end up. Now getting from there to here, well that's up to you!

These look good, I've got a set drawn up on my bench awaiting their go-time too! too many project ideas, not enough time. Nice work.

when I made mine I used this weird thing called geometry to figure out where mine needed to sit... WORKED perfect the first time.

Yours look great BTW

thanks guys, and yea i just made the one hole because i knew where i wanted to be, then i just tacked it in a few spots and set the jeeps weight on it to check it, ended up getting right were i wanted on the second attempt.

yea, its just so when i tighten it it doesn't get crushed, a didn't have any round left.

did you make the adjustable shackles too? can you give more details on the measurements and how thick of steel you used

the shackle are from autozone they are the chevy drop ons for what they cost they are not worth making, and yea tonight i will draw up these with dimensions for you guys

did you gain any more lift with these. I want to know because i need to fab up some of these because i have had a few occasions when my shackles bind up with the rear of the stock shackle box in high flex situations. Great job by the way!

you can really make them anyway you want... if you like your current height them simple build around that ... if you want to gain a little lift then remember you have to move the frame to shackle mount hole DOWN 2" to get just 1" of lift
