What lights should I get for my roof rack? I'm thinking about Hella 500s cause I can get them for around 60 a pair. Any suggestions?

yeah, for roof lights, you don't want to spend too much. i am always finding tree branches scraping up my windshield and often getting caught on my roof rack or hi-lift jack handle. if i had lights mounted, i'd have broken a few by now.
if i'm not too mistaken, hella's are plastic. i've seen many of them bust apart just on tj windshield mounts.
i like either kc, cause they're all metal, just like the cheapie princess auto/harbour freight/wall mart ones. and they're plenty bright.

i have those 20 dolor Wall-mart special ones.(blazer/baja. what ever u wanna call them). they work great and i saw a thread on here a couple weeks ago showing how u can make them brighter if there not bright enough already for u. and there 20 bucks now who can complain with that.

i run the Hella 550's on my roof rack and they are great! i took a chip out of the glass on one of the corner ones but it is still sealed. the ABS plastic is pretty strong in the rectangular 550's too i have run mine for 3 years and i hit stuff all the time with them. i upgraded to the H.I.D. simulate bulbs to match my headlights and they are brighter than ****.

i ran a pair of the walmart baja $12 lights & a pair of slim pilot lights all were 100w i believe & cost me just over $50. ran them on the luggage rack on my explorer.
Now i just have to figure out how to mount them to the jeep (i dont have the luggage racks).
any ideas?

KC's and IPF's are your best bet for the money. My IPFs are plenty bright and were alot cheaper than others. do plenty of price shopping first!

I have some Super Road Boy 100's on top and 200's on the bottom
top is white, bottom are yellow
The top are ok.. do great for shining to the sides, the 200's on the bumper are SO DAMN BRIGHT

100's at night (shined to the side a bit)

I really suggest these lights though, the halogens are astoundingly bright. and they were cheaper than alot. Good luck man!

I just bought four procomp 6'' 130W lights for $35 a piece. I haven't had a chance to put them on yet but by looking at them they seem well made.
