Another possibility for you is to find a hot rod shop.. I found one up in DE that can do the tubing and such for tube chassis for hot rods, and race cars.... and said he would take a look at my XJ one day to give me quote... so just another idea of places to check out...

I know this is a newb question, but when you're fabing an internal cage in place, how do you weld the back sides of the tubes?

cut the floor out where the tube sits and drop it through the floor to get at the top of the joint. then plate the floor.

If you drop the cage down through the floor there is no part of it you cannot get to.

Does anybody here have a recommendation as to where or who i should by frame stiffeners from? Are different brands any different asfar as quality? Or does it really matter that much if i have them, regarding tying in my cage and sliders to them?

Okay cool thanks! So what do you think of the idea i have.. What if i just get 3" angle iron, and cut it to length for two or three sections per side, just like the stiffeners do and then drill holes in it, and make my own stiffeners that way?
