Just glanced back through there. I thought I had some better pics of it

Ill try to snap some pics of it this weekend. its just a tube running from the part of the bumper that sits under my cut and folded rear quarters, to a plate on the frame infront of the gas lines. I tack welded it all the way around to hold the plate on. Its not necessarily supporting the corner (under the tail light), but rather the sides that point toward the front of the heep.

I bet that made no sense. Ill just post a pic lol

And thanks for the kind words!

Good luck!

Thanx. I got an idea now, yeah I was tryna make the plate that goes on the side of the frame bolt on instead of welding it on, I might just run a few small beads to secure the plate, and make the tube which ties to the side( oh my bad I said corners but was referring to the same area, under the quarter panel that was cut and folded) bolt on to the bumper other wise it would be difficult to remove the bumper. gonna try get some work done on it today. I try take some pix too.

thanx bro. come to think of it, it does look like a tube version of the trailready bumper, lol.

as far as price I'm really not to sure....probably around $450. a bit cheaper than the aftermarket bumpers with similar design.

Thanx guys,

Did some work on the bumper last night, not much though, got the tow receiver installed, continued welding some of areas, and made a few more pieces for it. Hopefully I get more done today.

Thanx man, by all means, go for it.

I will be posting some progress pix in a few, hopefully give you a better idea how it all ties together. The whole idea was to keep is simple and practical.

Welded some grade 8 nuts on the 3/8 strip that slides into the frame/unibody. Each Mounting bracket has 3 bolts on the underside and the 4 stock bolts on the back. 14 bolts total holding the bumper.

Also added some more tubing to help reinforce the sides, I was gonna tie it directly from the side of the bumper to the frame, but I was worried that without completely plating the rear part of the frame/unibody, frequent side impact may dimple or damage the frame/unibody.
