I had a hard time getting ideas to build a rear tube bumper so far I've been seeing a lot of box tube or plate style rear bumpers. So this is what I came up with so far.

I like the design but not a fan of how high you mounted the tubing near the tail light

Yeah I kinda experimented with that, the bottom corner panel had been cut off for clearance so instead of using a single tube that wraps around the side, I figured try and see how a double tube would look. For the record this is the first rear tube bumper I've done, so its good to hear some input n ideas.

Yeah, if its a hard hit.

Are you going to tie those side wrap arounds in to the frame?

Im sure it has a chance of bending the corners on a rock, but its gonna have too take one intense impact. I've over looked the fact that the corners are prone to a lot of impact and abuse, so it will be reinforced.

Yeah that was the plan to tie the corners up to the side of the frame, problem is the shackle mounts on the unibody is kinda in the way, it post a problem installing/removing the bumper. So I came up wit a bolt on corner support/brace that would tie up to the frame, Now the problem is, on the driver side the gas tank filler hoes is in the way for the corner support, N e ideas: dunno:

If I remember, Ill try to snap some pics of how I did mine when I go home this weekend.

I might have a pic in my build thread in my sig, but I know I dont have many pics of the rear in there. Start from the end of the build and work backwards to find it (if its in there).

Figured I throw this pic on hear. This is the rear bumper I built for my jeep a few years ago, made it out of some scrap metal from work, C-chanel and box tubing, beat the living Hell out of it and its still on there. I'm looking forward to changing it to the tube style to match the tube front bumper.
