Default Rear shock relocation

I had an issue with my stock shackles hitting the body, so I needed to install a pair of lift shackles, but my rear shocks didn't have enough travel and bottomed out before I had enough droop to install the shackles. I searched around and didn't find a
Thread about this, so I just winged it and did this:

I cut the stock mounts off, and I cut the round mount off.

I ground off the factory weld and was able to slide it inside a 1-1/4 pipe.

I measured that the stock mounts stuck out 2-1/4 inches from the axle tube so I cut off the pipe 2.5 inches back from the flat part that the shock bushing ends up on.

After I cut it off, I was able to fit the MIG gun inside the pipe to weld the inside seem too.

I used a flapper disk to "notch" the end of the pipe so it fit on the axle tube. I used a chunk of exhaust tubing that was about the size of the axle tube as a reference. You'll have to test fit it on the axle tube afew times to get a good fit.

Then I welded the new Mounts onto the axle.

Yeah, I gained about 4" of shock, and about 3" of ground clearance.

either grind it down smooth on the bracket and drill a hole for a new bolt or re-weld a bolt the face of the shock bracket..... or do what this guy did and just use the correct bolt size for a stud

I thought about welding a nut in the pipe and just using a chevy style threaded shock mount...but then I remembered I'm not planning on keeping this D35 for long.

I just sheared off the threaded part of the lower mounts, one side in the rear. Found this thread and I'd like to do something similar to both sides as well as fix my broken upper shock mounts.... As for the lower, I'm just looking for a shouldered bolt, anyone have a size recomendation? 18mm was too large and 5/8 I think it was was a little loose.. This was test fitting in the bottom of an old shock though, not sure how packed out the bushing was...
