check out like the fifth page of my build thread it handles all your questions, its pretty simple to do, and the gas tank lines arent in the way at all!

if you take your time and cut it just right you down have to weld anything but i go a little fast and cut a lil too much so i had gaps so i just welded them shut but the drivers side is mainly screw holding it in took less than 2 hrs for both sides

i actually bent it down a little to show how the cut and tuck was done...all i have to do is push it back into place...but it does have a little bit of a slant...either way i think it looks good either way...(edited)

i am sorry then...just seemed like there could have been better wording on your part...no it is not screwed in as it will be tacked in once i do my rear bumper...it stays just fine folding it is...the bottom(when tucked inner) actually wedges against the jeep
