I have 1/4 panel guards and they are formed to the body. Plus they go up higher, all the way to the last line below the window. My experience was more damage higher up on the sheet metal so I needed taller guards. This is not a bad job for home made, tho.

How did you form it to the body line? I am interested in doing this as well.

its not that much of a curve so i just had somebody push really hard on it with i put a rivet in the bottom to keep it in place. And they do hold up very well.

The rivets could pop when you flex since the guard isn't formed to the metal. Since it's straight it will always want to become straight again. That being said, I had mine riveted on. But then, mine were curved to begin with. (Note that the rivets holding the bumper wrap to the lower panel didn't last 1 wheeling trip before the rivets popped. And they were bigger ones than what held the guards on.)

Formed at the body line & all the way up to the window. This was taken on the way home from having them mounted. I hadn't put my flare back on yet.

Here's what they look like before they were painted & mounted to the Jeep. Note the curve.

that looks good. Are you gonna put your fender flare back on or take it the rest the way off?

Oh, I put it back on a long time ago. They are required in Jersey.

Bought them from a company who I haven't been able to locate recently. But I heard there's a guy (CagedXJ) on NAXJA who's affiliated with them. And I found the price very reasonable.
