Did mine a while back from the jeep forum thread write up.

Probably one of the best cosmetic mods I've done to my rig. Not to mention you can hide/get rid of a lot of rust holes doing this. I would know haha

Great write up!!

For the rear fold and tuck, would it be easier to just cut everything out and weld a piece of sheet metal in across the opening?

thats what i would've done if I had a welder and all. you'll end up with a much more sealed off panel..

What is the purpose of folding the rear sheet metal? am I missing something? To me it looks unfinished with the rear shackles exposed. I see Y you would fold the fender lip and will be doing this soon.

Departure angle and in wet climates gets rid of the rust prone area. I ordered a Dirtbound bumper that is for the cut and fold and has a piece that goes under and will hide the shackle a bit. I like the aggressive look. There are I think three manufactures that make one here is link to Dirtbound. http://www.dirtboundoffroad.com/jeep...p-cherokee-xj/

that's what i did, i think it looks a little cleaner and a good bit stronger then rivets with a cut and fold.
