couple PM's asking about the hinge kit
the kit is from jeeptubes.com
its a nice kit and you can buy just parts or the whole kit
i dont see problems with this kit at all
as far as people being interested in the bumper PM me so we keep this a build thread but as the people i have PM'd a price to dont seem to interested afterwards the price is 650 plus shipping with 50% up front as 50% isnt even close to covering my cost
the other 50% plus shipping is due before its shipped

Wow what a small world! lol. I'll have to see what I can come up with in that time period as I'm looking into tires and a rear right now. But that bumper/carrier looks great!

now that im back in town and have a bit more time i figured id update this
to start this wasnt such a great job
it fit and worked fine on my 95
but when installed on Plums 98 it didnt go so well
first off the factory mounting holes i should have sloted as they fit fine on mine but where off a bit on his and he sloted them to fit
second i didnt take into account for the 98's gate being wider there for once installed the gate hit both the hinge and the lock not allowing the gate to be opened
i guess Plum went ahead and cut his gate to fit the bumper which im not happy with I would of rather refab'd the whole thing if it needed but we could of fixed it by building a wider swing and moving the hinge and lock
we had the sheet metal parts tack welded in and Plum went ahead and tig welded them all the way around to make it look better
Plum is a stand up guy and is great to deal with he could of came on here and had a fit and would of had every right to do so as i ****ed up and didnt take those things into account

Due to never checking the email where the pics were sent i just got these pics and figured id update this lol
anyway heres some finished pics
and due to me not taking into account the wider gate on the 97+ and plum already having the bumper coated his fix
and the angle i put on the carrier was to steep for his wider tires and the tire was being held up by the rear glass so he made a spacer
the next ones will be wider and the tire will be straight up and down so any tire size should be able to fit

The next one has been ordered and now that i have finished building my Got Trikes bender and my Pro Tools die is in they will be built totally in house with the exception of the Knu-Vice latch and the spindle. However a lathe will be added soon so the spindles will also be made here shortly.
With a bender now in house the tubes for the carrier will now be bent instead of mittered and welded which should give a cleaner look.
This new carrier will be offset to the passenger side with a jerry can holder on the driver side. So it should show one of the possible variations.
