Default rear bumper/tire carrier

Dident take much pics at the start because my camara took a dump on me, but pretty the the plan was to build the bumper out of 1/4 and add a tire carrier.

I ordered a hitch and shackle tabs from AtoZ fab, and ordered my spindle from Comp4x4.

I first made cut the back ends of the frame open so I could put the mounts all the way into the frame, cut those up and everything, made a nut strip and those were done. Bumper mounts to a total of 18 places!

Heres what it looks like so far.

After we cut the main part and welded in the hitch and shackles

ground down and ready to go on

WHat it looks like so far, I also cut the sides and angled them in so they fallow the body, and its not just a straight piece of metal on the back of the jeep lol

departure angle look good to me

haha lol I knew I would get asked, I dident have my fire blanket covering my tail light all the way on the bottom and it just started melting once a few sparks hit it, and I dident realize it to it got to the point it is now.

It uses the stock 8 bolts, but then also have 2x4 running down inside the framer and uses another 5 bolts per side. Like you would for a hitch

I just finished redoing mine around Oct. When I bought it the lift was pieced together and total crap. Drove it like that for 2 years because I was a broke high schooler. Then I started collecting in the spring.

Specs-
5.5" RE coils
4.5 RE leavs
1.5 Tera Flex Shackle
RC drop brackets
Custom uppers with Ballistic joints
Custom lowers with Ballistic joints
RE track bar
Custom trackbar mount mod to use a double shear ballistic joint
Custom quarter guards
Custom front bumper
AA SYE
Custom drive shaft
33 goodyear duratrac
And stock gears lol

Plans to fallow, HD offroad frame stiffeners, sliders, a new belly skid and crossmember, steel tail lights (which are almost done) gears and 35's

O I just drilled a 3/4" hole right where the bolt goes threw. So I have to back out my shackle bolt a little to get the bumper off. But thats no problem to me. I would rather do that they chop up a piece of 2x4 and have it loose its strength. Just my thinking

Probably one of the simplest and cleanest looking rear bumpers I've seen in a long while. Looks great and I like the way you incorporated the lowers into it. I might add a receiver to it for a winch when I finish mine, but you can bet it will look alot like yours! Thanks for the link on the hinge, been looking for just that. P.S. Jeep looks like mine!
