I'm thinking about building a light bar for my rig....anyone have any ideas that would keep me from having to figure it out on my own???

PS, what would be the best welder to buy for this project??

One more thing, can I put a body lift on my XJ??

Oh yeah, what are the best tires to run on my rig?? I want super quiet tires, that get wonderful mileage, and perform excellently off-road. They need to last 50,000 miles too!!

something to do with fairy dust. I heard that my bother's friend's uncle's son put exactly .25 pounds in his gas tank and it fixed the unicorn problem.

You guys crack me up.. Did you guys fall out momma's womb knowing everything about an XJ? Hardly!! You learned by asking dumb questions of people, getting laughed at by people such as yourselves. There are a lot of people that want to be in the off road world that don't know squat about it, but forums such as this were started by those people to educate others. Some will get on this site, ask a dumb question, post in the wrong place looking for an answer to fix their daily driver so they can get to work the next day. The one that answers the question correctly are looked upon as gods to some. Not someone who wants to make fun of others. The dumbest question you can ask is the one you don't..

Quite the contrary for me my friend. I didn't ask "dumb" questions on forums and get laughed at. I used a seemingly little known feature called the Search. I'd say that most of what I've learned about XJs and vehicles in general has been learned this way.

You have to realize that some of the things we were comically joking about occur multiple times a day with people asking the same questions over and over and over. Questions to which the answers can quickly and easily be found in numerous places on the internet.

X2 its a huge problem when for example 10 simply answered questions are asked 10 different times. the clutter is immense. I learned everything I know from doing and not asking. sometimes I find something I don't know about I research using google or the search option.

30,000 members... 8ish mods... we cant catch them all... thats what the report section is for... we need everyones help here... in a perfect world we should be scanning threads to be able to give our own input on things instead of scanning them to fix mistakes... our reported post section should be full... and we should be able to sign on and go through those real quick before we can go help others with answers to there questions... and do some of our own research...

we stuck that sticky up here in the fab section and hit it real hard for awhile... i think COS was the one trying to fix it up... but when the threads and posts keep coming its hard to keep up... lol... eventually people will get out of the habbit but its just gonna take some time...

we kinda did the same with the for sale section for awhile... i headed that one up and was constantly on people for not including location... eventually people hated me and knew me by name because i kept on everyones case... but for the most part now its the other members that get on to people for not including location and reporting those listings... its a process to get people to change but itll happen...
