X2 i was just thinking that. although i can only see that if there was heavy body roll...I may actually try it and see how it turns out. I'll carry a extra set of pins "just in case". But hey, whats the worse that can happen, driving without a swaybar for a little while?

In theory, the snap body roll from losing a sway bar link could cause the jeep to flip.

I'd suggest putting a beefier pin in, minimum of 1/4" diameter and Grade 5 just to be safe.

More what I was afraid of. It would fatigue over time and then fail in an instance of particularly hard cornering/load, which is when you depend on the swaybar the most.

Great idea OP, just beef em up a bit for safety's sake. Some thicker walled tube and a quarter inch pin would be darn near ideal.

I've always wanted a pair of these, but I didnt want to spend the money on them. Now that I see how easy it is, I think i'll be making a set of these this weekend!! oh and great job by the way dude!!!!

ya. i dont realy see these pins breaking because its all shear strength but bigger pins and grade 5 certianly wouldent hurt.

They look great. U have a gift man to be that young an that skilled it good 2 see more young people getting in to our hobbie,keep up the post on your build.Give us old farts insperation...i would buy a set.dont like the 1's i have now to pull the pins out.
