Default people say i copied this. tire carrier

I built this from my own vision. I built my rear tube bumper. I wanted a tire carrier thats was a little off the normal chart. it works very well

Here my cardomain link and there more rack build pics of the build. feel free to build it for yourself

thanks guys. there are one's that use the hitch. i think my designed works the best. it has a rock skid with also acts as a safely stop and lock. it works and moves with very lttle effort

I really like that. I'd go for that if i had a bigger tire. Very simple design.

I like it. I am also concerned about the loss of the hitch.

I grabbed a stock tire carrier out of Pick a Part and welded a couple plates on it to allow for a larger tire width. Put the whole thing on and spent a loooooong time getting it to stop making noise. Saved the hitch for the bar-b-que .......

I really like seeing what everyone comes up with. That is 1/2 the joy of such a vehicle. Nice skid plate too btw.

Thats a sick tire carrier you made. I don't think I've ever seen another one like it, so I don't see why people think you stole the idea.

It was built off the top of my head. i was going to do the swing out kind but i will never go use my hitch. then it all together i found a way to use my hitch. its a lifted jeep and its not going pull anything like a trailer anytime soon. but i am planning on building and offroad trailer from a MJ bed

I could see a good use even tho it does take the hitch away. I go camping alot and i shove as much crap in as i can, and taking the tire out can give me alot more room. Then once your camp is all set up take it off and stick the tire inside the cab. Thats how i'd use it. But then again i absolutely need my hitch since i have a 2wd haha
