There was a guy in the club making cookers out of pipe, and using the heater hoses.. to me the issue becomes what happens to the juices of said delicous food

anyway here is todays progress...
Here is a finished pic of the x-member... yeah I painted it pink.. its all about saving the Ta Ta's

The front piece sticking off to the side is for the front mount.. If I had to do it all over again.. I would make the x-member 28-30" instead of 20"
Also got some work done on the exhaust... stil not done though. but it wont be as bad as I thought. SO far I have deleted the cat converter, and used 3 90* pieces.. all in varying lengths... PLans are to run a glass pack and call it good. It will only be a slight bump in the floor.. not really an intrusion

Basically the guy took come 6" screw pipe.. put caps on it.. welded piece of tubing on 2 sides.. and you hooked your heater hoses to it. Seems like it would work great.. but I am a can food and nabs person on the trail.. real food make me poo
Well this part of the Project is done. Got the floor installed, twin sticks mounted, and seats in. I even test drove it. Double low, and first gear is so slow that it doesnt register on my gps:drool: 5th gear in double low... to the floor registers 15mph:smiley-laughing021:
Floor is coming together. Used a lot of an old xj floor, as well as a healthy amount of 16 guage.

Here I am messing with the placement of the twin sticks

Here the seats and twin sticks are in place. The celice seat are actually really comfortable

The floor was a PITA. Welded a lot of plate to the cage and floor, then took sections of a jeep that got junked and tacked it in. I still need to finish welding it up, but I want to try the setup at least a few times before I make it permanent
Just posting some pics of my twin sticks. First pic is of my cases in 2wd

second pic is of crawl box being in 4lo, and rear case being in 2wd high.. therefore giving me 2wd low

if both sticks are to the rear... I am in double low. It is going to take some getting used to using the twin sticks, and picking the right gears in the tranny as well. I can now start my truck in double low, and 5th gear:driving:

I use line locks... I have done that for a while. I like the way they hold better, and are easier to turn on or off when strapped in.
