Stefano, would it really be a heat exchanger, as there is no transfer. He's just coolong the air. Now the one with the coil on the fan would be an example of a heat exchanger.

Awesome, I love it

There is heat transfer, air yields heat to the bottle surface and becomes cooler, one of the two fluids is stationary but it is still a heat exchanger (with very very low exchange efficiency), the air gets colder and the water warmer.

I wouldn't say low low efficiency. I have ran this thing in my room to see how well it does. It will put out a consistant temp of air for about 2-3 hours before the output begins to warm up a little at a time. I am actually pretty impressed by it.
i'm sure it works well. |
i actually saw an older suburban the other day lifted up with a rear bumper with a swing out spare, that had a steel rear window holding a house window unit....strangest thing, they probably dropped at least a couple grand making it look nice and they do that. wish i had snapped a pic.

Lol, it's amazing what people do to stay cool. I saw a pic of someone who's window wouldnt fit the a/c in, so they set the outside on plywood, then built a shroud that connected the a/c to the window.

1st. Awesome job making a cheap way to stay cool.
2nd. The fan tops it all off. 3rd. If you ever are in a bad spot and need some water, I.E. blown hose or overheated you have some right there. Its almost boyscout approved. I say almost only because you havent put stickers or drawn all over it yet. Rock on. :D |

He must have one heck of a blind spot on the left side, since the AC unit blocks off the side mirror and the generator kills any view out the back window to the left. Also, can you imagine catching a red light with this contraption next to you. LOL. With all that crap running it must sound like a carnival, cause I am sure that he has some crazy sound system inside to drown out all that noise as well. HAHA
