Default My Snorkel

Hey guys, Just got done with my snorkel for my jeep, its nothin fancy but I'm happy with the outcome and thats all that matters. Its not hooked up to the intake yet tho, I need to dig my airbox out of my garage when I go home this weekend. Its made out of 2.5" aluminum pipeing powdercoated black with silicone couplers, its just scrap piping I had laying around from installing the intercooler on my car a year or so ago.

its mounted solid and I dont think the top is to high up to get stuck on branches and what not. What do you guys think?

mkae sure it still runs through a filter and also have some sort of mesh cover on the top so nothing gets in there and messes it up, doesnt look too bad tho

its not completely done yet, im gonna put some sort of a screen on the tip of it to keep leaves and what not out, and unless I can find more of my scrap piping laying around its gonna stay the way it is even though i'd like to get rid of the short pieces. Im not the biggest fat of the blue on the jeep, but it does however match the sport logos on the fenders which makes it fine with me haha. all in all im happy with it for being free, but i cant really be happy untill its hooked up, which wont be happening for a little since one of my rocker arm bolts snapped a few days ago and im having no luck with getting it out so far, need sharper drill bits =(

I hope not. If its to high then those lights are toast. I know the 90* forward would attract branches and such but I think you will be ok. The outcome looks awesome and if your happy then A+.

this is exactly how I was going to do my snorkel on my 96 grand. I have the unused intercooler piping all together and ready to go on but havent figured out what to do with the air box. or how to mount the piping to the body.

the coupler that goes up the a pillar, the 2 clamps are riveted to the pillar, and also siliconed the rivets to keep water from getting in. I just got my stock airbox back, so ill be putting that on here soon, still gotta get the broken bolt out of the head before I go any further though. but thank you all for the positive feedback, more pictures to come when the airbox goes in
