so i needed more room in the rear, did the very common -> cut between the pinch welds, fold and seal. its pretty standard stuff I'm sure there's 100 threads on fender trimming, but i thought i would share !
spray on undercarriage was used to seal the inside and outside. im leaving california for michigan... so sealant was my main concern during the trim. gotta love the salty winter roads!
let me know what you think, thanks for the input!
also thought i would share the front fender trimming, pretty beefed up

as far as the front goes--- the fenders were cut extremely high, the picture your looking at show an armor plat bolted on. the black is actually a 3 inch lip...

for the front fenders, cut just like the back and fold in, be sure to SEAL the open metal! rust is a *****!
and as far as the back goes, i understand your concern with cutting to high for proper fitment of bushwackers- a concern of mine too! i did not measure tho and im not sure how high you can go. this trim took off about 3 inches, so you should still be good

..btw flight engineer is a great job! i was/am (for the next week) a C-5 Galaxy crew chief. lots of work! stationed out of Travis AFB, CA
ya id def like some info on them or maybe a few more pics so i can try and duplicate the base design and how you bolt them on? cuz it looks solid but the bolts also make it look cool so, oh and thanks about the job thing! ya crew cheif/FE i think is some of the best enlisted jobs just cuz of the "positional authority" telling O's what to do is always fun! and btw im out of NAS Whidbey Island, WA
