looking at it more closly it looks like that 3" pipe would need a hole that extends past that bend in the fender, is that what u ment by a big ugly hole ?

Yes, the 3" abs is an inside diameter of 3" so you would have to cut like a 4" to 4.25" hole (which would be the outside diameter) to fit a 90 degree to go through the fender. With the junction box I only had to cut like a 2.5" hole for it to go through the fender, that way the hole stayed above the body line. So you can still run bushwaker flares or any other type of flares that you might want to run.

Let me know what you figure out, id like to know what you ended up using. The junction box was the only thing I found that had the bigest opening but still stayed above the body line. If your worried about going from the 3" abs down to the 2" or 2.5" junction box. It will be ok cause the inside of the junction box opens up much bigger than the inside of the 3" abs it only shrinks down when it enters and exits the junction box.

I really want to do this when the weather gets nicer here in Michigan. I'm pretty sure I could handle the rest, but what exactly did you have to do with that black box along the inner fender and all its wiring? Was that hard to do?? And will it compromise anything?

Don't take this the wrong way, but am i the only one that doesn't like this or think it's smart at all? I mean the box on the fender, it looks tacky and it is so exposed to possible damage.

Do you have any pics of your jeep with this on it...like the whole jeep in it to see how it looks on it? and are you gunna paint it all black to make it match? just wondering..

All I did with the computer box on the inner fender. Was unbolt it from fender, then pull it back toward firewall as far as I could and then stuffed it under the brake booster. It fits snug under the brake booster and is not going anywhere. Eventually im gonna extend the wires so I can screw it to the firewall.

Don't worry im not offended. You may not like it but that doesn't mean others wont. Everybody has there own tastes towards different things. Im sure something you may like dosent mean I may like it either. As far as the junction box sticking out off the fender it really doesn't come out that far at all. And is not gonna be caught on anything. When I get my tube flat fenders on they will stick out further than it does and block anything from hits it.

No. Its still high enough out of the way and not causing any damage. Its just temporary until I can extend all the wires to pull it further back to wear I can bolt it tp the firewall.

The board is encased in silicone so there is no way water is going to affect it. In fact the computer is more likely to be affected by rain water in the factory location than where he moved it to.
