My attempt at a homemade roof rack.
Here's my rendition of a roof rack.
It took me two nights after work and the better part of today to finish it up- had lot's of fun except the materials were not cheap.
It's 48"x48" top and 51"x48" bottom.
1" square mild steel tubing, and welds are from a lincoln 110 flux core mig.
Paint is Roll bar/ nerf bar rattle can paint by HVT.
I did not want to weld the rack to the rain gutter mounts so I ended up using some 1-1/2" exhaust clamps to clamp the rack to the brackets- they worked out pretty good.
I will be stuffing it full with three climbing tree stands this weekend for a hunting trip with my bud's.

I love Adam Sandler, but my Wife can't stand him-dunno why ha, ha.
Anyways I'm ready for the hunt this weekend and already put some scratches on my new roof rack paint-oh well if you're gonna use it, use it.
Not a big deal but you can see the wood cage I added to the hitch basket years ago.
Had I had my welder back then I most likely would have used steel.
I hope to see the monster buck I saw last weekend.

Where did you get the 1" square tubing from and how much did it cost? Do they have 1" round tubing? I need a short piece to make a light bar for my front bumper.
