Default Mesh grill

Had some free time today so I decided to cut out the plastic spokes in the grill and make it wire mesh instead. Let me know how you think it turned out.

I need to make a grill since a stock one will not fit anymore.

Do you think something similar would work in a ZJ? I do not like the look of my stock grill and do not have the funds to buy one from a 5.9 like I would like to do.

I like it a lot but watch your temperature gauge real close. That looks like it might restrict the air flow to much.

I did the same thing after some close calls with sticks denting up my rad/trans cooler pretty bad. I just used plain old metal lath leftover from a stone siding job. By cutting notches for the grill mounting tabs and fitting it behind the vertical "frame" pieces of where the grill mount I was able to mount the grill back up with no problems. It hardly restricts air, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Definitely looks different. Almost looks kind of like chicken wire lol. Very creative idea! Sets you a bit apart.

It looks neat. I'll probably stick with stock though...not sure I'd even notice it after I did it.
