Long Arm Fabrication Question...
I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and have am working on getting my all my parts ready for a home made 4.5" lift. My question is,
1) .. do you lengths of the LCAs and UCAs vary depending on how big of a lift you go? Same question if I were to go with a long arm instead.
2). I've got my hands on some 1 1/4" solid steel bar and am thinking about fabricating the control arms out of it. What lengths, from eyelet to eyelet would I need for a 4.5" lift? (If you have lengths for a long arm kit I'll take that too)
3). Where can I find or how could I fabricate the control arm joints?
That's all I have questions on right now
Thanks!

1. Yes and yes, it also depends on where you are mounting at the body. Do you plan on just building a radius arm, 3 link, or 4 link?
2. Don't use round stock! It'll bend quite easy! Try to find some 1.5" or 1.75" DOM, I use 1.75" .250" wall DOM. Again you'll need to figure out where you are mounting to the body at to figure out a length
3. I personally use Johnny joints at the axle for the LCA and heims for the rest
best way to do something like this is to know or find someone that has done this if you haven't yourself yet

There are some Universal 4 link kits out there that might help you out some. Here is a link http://www.barnes4wd.com/product_inf...oducts_id=2321
