Default Locks for tube doors?

I have searched the forum about tube doors and got some great ideas. My question is what kind of latch or locks are you all using?

Not trying to be a dick here but your answer's are exactly what drives people away from these forums. The guy is just looking for a little help and when you start off with the sarcasm right away it leaves a sour taste in one's mouth. I know you have all been here alot longer than me, but I am old enough to recognize the fact that any question asked is not a stupid question. Over my 20 + Years in the Military, I never looked at any question as stupid. I always encouraged people to ask if they did not know. I would sooner have them ask then do something stupid. Sarcasm is fun when you get to know someone, but right off the bat it is quite rude and childish. Heck, I'm sarcastic all the time, to the people who know me. Give the guy a little time on the forum before you gang up on him like a bunch of LA Gangsta's !!!
Now, I don't have tube doors, so maybe some of you guy's that do, can help this young man out. You know what he meant by his question.

You and I both know he didn't mean actual "Door Locks". I'll put it a little more straight forward if you really didn't get it. He wants to know what kind of device people use on their tube doors to keep them closed/latched.

He had a perfectly legitimate question. If you mount a door on a hinge, you might want to use it that way. So a latch, probably a better term is what you would want to compliment a hinge. Sort of like a real door. Also, just because it is a tube door doesn't mean we have to crawl over them. That gets old on a trail.

he said locks. but it doesnt matter. i took the question the wrong way it's all cool. all he has to do is go to the jy and find an old cj with soft doors take the bottom door half and the lach on the cab side and take the paddle lach out of the door and put it on the tube.

If you read again, he said latch or locks, but thanks for answering the question for him and me for that matter cause I want to do tube doors and definitely wanna be able to open them and still have a clean set up.

You didn't start anything. It is just something that bugs me about some forums. I just have noticed it here more than the other two I visit on a normal basis, and I felt I needed to say something. Most people do it and don't even realize it. Human nature is a funny thing sometimes. No offense meant to anyone. I have recieved alot of great info from here and intend to be here a long time. Like I said, human nature, life goes on.
Good luck on your doors!

i'm personally planning to make mine a spring loaded pin that goes into the striker pin hole in the door jamb (taking out striker pins, its already missing one)

it will either have a **** right on the side of the pin or my brother in law also had a neat idea. i could also mount some small bicycle brake levers up closer to the front of the door with a cable that runs into the pin assembly to pull it
