These would work in my '01XJ... it's a "plug in" type of bulb vs the "twist in" type... Could be different for earlier model XJ's.

Please post up some pics as I'd be interested to see the results. I replaced my OE reverse lights w/a set of LED bulbs w/another website and although they are somewhat better than OE, they are NOT as bright as I'd like or as bright as others here appear to be.

 

For the 96 and older XJ's just go on ebay and search 1156 led. Tons of different options on there for you and most likely cheaper then the name brand stuff.

So that'd be plug and play for a 92? Also both of my reverse lights stopped working at the same time.. What do I have to check or clean to see if it fixes it? I forgot what the name of it is.

 

I believe they should. You can do a parts search for the model/part # for OE reverse lights and the LED's should have a similar part number...

The Neutral Safety Switch (NSS) is likely the culprit on your reverse lights both going out at the same time.

 

Yes that is plug and play on a 92.
