since you arnt having it permanently in the spot to climb it did you think of putting hinges that attach to your roof rack and just swing it down rather then having to set it up every time? like the idea though i may do it when i get my rack

Looks good! Great job. Why not shoot the entire thing in a rattle can bedliner like Dupli-color? I'd think that would be more durable than plasti-dip and you could do the entire thing, never rust either.

Hey to all the people who are thinking of doing it, go for it. I did use Dupli-Color Bedliner to paint the whole thing. I'm thinking of using the plastic dip just because I want to save the finish on the rack and bumper.

Old thread, but I'm curious to see how your ladder came out.

Also - the ladder in the pic with the chick is a Gobi. Attaches to the rear hatch.
