Default im gonna get crap for this!!!

alright, so i bought a 5.2 grand cherokee to start building. the xj is getting d 60's and a good ole buggy treatment, so i want to build the grand for my pavment princess. im gonna pull the 8'' lift and full width axles off the xj and slap it all under the zj. yes, this means im swapping the rear of the zj to leafs!! thats what im gonna get crap about, im sure of it. has anyone seen this done? i did a search and came up with nothing......i would like to know how it turned out because im gonna "have" to wheel it until the xj is done, then the zj is my womans.

also needing to swap out the awd t-case. i saw a thread just the other day but the link for the zj case went to a radio thread.

i just want to know, did the 5.2l ever come with a 231? i know the 4.0l did.

if not then do i just need to find a 5.2 with a 242 and swap it in?

thanks in advance and sorry to kill the rear coils.....but my mind is set cuz im crazy like that!!

Check out advance adapters. They have just about every motor, trans, or t-case adapter imaginable.

As far as swapping leafs, for a "pavement princess" as you put it, the leafs will give you less body roll than coils. Handeling won't be too different, but the lack of a "puckered up" feeling when you take a decent corner is nice.
