I am glad mine are not that bad. Chrysler did a POS job on the undercoating causing my passenger side floorboard all the way up front to rust out. The rest of my floorboards are almost spotless except for that one 4x8 area on the floorboard. Off topic but can I rent a MIG from somewhere or should I just pay someone else to weld mine in. I have never used a welder but its a floorboard so just wondering.

if i were u id just find someone to weld it. sheat metal is a pain in the *** to weld if u dont know what your doin. you go to watch for burn through.... there is this auto body adhesive you casn buy that actually hardens as strong as weld, since you have a small area that might be your best bet. or even pop rivets and some sealer

Sorry for thread jacking but I have a manual pop riveter and some aluminum. I want to have it done right as my cherokee is just a baby with 157k on it lol. I am thinking I may just get someone to weld it in though. Thanks.

I thought I would need to curve over the front mount but after taking it apart it was just below floor level.

I also replaced my rockers with 3"x6"x3/16" tube and put frame stiffners in. I then joined the rocker to frame and spring mount all together. I also added the tube over the spring mount.
