how to attach sliders?

lot of people are cutting out the rocker piece so they dont lose that 2 inches of clearance then welding it solid if you dont want to do that follow the directions that little paper gives you

they can be bolt on... the plates up against the frame rail you'll want 3"x6" 3/16" or 1/4" steel. then drill bolt holes in the plate & tap the holes in the frame! also the pinch weld will have about 8 small bolts along it!
I do the frame rail a lot beefier, but you'll get the idea...

you can bolt them but you will have to drill the holes in the slider, pinch seam and unibody. My sliders frm JCR uses self tapping bolts for the unibody and regular bolts for the pinch seam. Use class 8 bolts whenever possible.

Self tapping screws/bolts into the thin sheet metal sub frame sounds like a pretty weak way of mounting sliders. I have never understood why companies build these awsome looking, strong rock sliders and then have you mount them with self tapping bolts into sheet metal.
