It was suggested to me that I should do a write up on this, It will be not to picture strong because I didn't take pictures as I was doing it, I had limited time to get them done.
First off find ones that you like, I did and Ebay search and found my set. Around $20 shipped if I recall.
Then I took a good bit of time measuring out where they would go, at first I was going to go on the outside of the hood, figured it would give it a nice look. I ran into a small problem with hood frame under where I was about to mount them. I didn't want to cut the supports so I went for the middle, which in hind site was a great choice.
Heat goes to the highest point, and there for these are more useful near the mid line. Make sure to measure off the back so you dont cut into that rear support of the hood.
the largest part was getting these centered and even. I had measured a few times. then made a template out of card board, marked my lines and taped it off.
I went threw 5 Dremel cutting disc before I realized this wasnt going to get the job done. Then I made the worst mistake of my life.
I thought maybe Tin Snips would work well, and they did, until i pulled them out and realized that I "waved" ,my hood, I was so pissed. I was able to get it back pretty close to normal but I can still see it.
Finally I when with a few drilled holes and a sawzall and it went very fast after that. Again be careful you don't go to deep there is so many things you can cut threw down there.
After the cut, I used the sanding wheel on the Dremel and and smoothed all the lines to where they needed to be and took out the sharp parts, then primed all the bare metal, took the time to tape it off on the top so it doesnt stick out past your vents.
Here is the finished product.

In this one you can see my pencil lines for my measurements.

For under it I used high temp silicone to keep water from hiding between the vent and the hood less chance to rust.

I currently have them dual side taped to the hood then the screws, but I will be changing that over to something else. Not sure what yet, trying to make it in case they ever break I can remove them and fix it. Not sure what to use maybe silicone all the way around. I will update if I come up with something else more solid.
