Hood Vents ?

Default Hood Vents ?

i have seen a few jeeps with them and they look mint so i was wondering if they are for looks or do they help a little and how to get them and install them
and thanks this site is sweet even though im new to this i have learned alot

They help the hot air to escape to let your motor run cooler. There is a write up on it in the search.

X2 I have them on mine and I run about 30* cooler with my A/C on and I live In Las Vegas so it get hot. lol I also think they are for looks but they have a purpose. I sit at a red light and can see the heat pouring out.

they are for looks and they keep your ride cooler. but if you dont wheel it there for looks. Here my jeep

Well they are for getting heat out weather your wheeling or not your wheeling. When I live it get 120* no problem so getting the heat out is the key.

so you can get just about any vent and slap them on or are there specific ones out there and when im wheeling what about mud and water or its just not a big deal
but ya you jeep looks mint with them and one of these days i will load pics of mine but thanks guys i will start looking for some vents

Check this one out. I did the same and I love it. It cost about 15 bucks and took about maby an hour. And Im not really worried about water or mud. I live in Vegas so we dont get much rain as it is and I have covered my motor with mud with out the vents. lol

i`ve been toying with venting mine cuase i know it`s advantages i like the flat ones nice job. i`m thinking old school with luvering the hood.

im going to use the small cowl ones from advanceauto there $15 and i think they will look good post it when i do it
