Wow thanks guys! Yeah the round holes seemed like a better idea... easy to cut with a hole saw, kept some strength in the hood at those spots, and I only had to drill a couple other holes to drain the two louvers that weren't covered by the holes. All the talk about drip pans helped me make the decision too because it limits the area and it would be easy to attach something later on. They are riveted on, the set actually comes with stainless rivets, you just need to grab a gun at the hardware store if you don't have one. I had gotten one for Christmas so I was in luck. Very useful. I love this mod... took a trip up to the mountains today and it was cool looking down the hood at them. Another small residual is that the hood closes easier since the air passes through... no biggie but a bonus.

Oh really? Thats cool, I'd like to see a pic if someone has one.

Everyone says my jeep looks like it belongs in an Outback commercial because of the rack, and even more so now, but I love the look.

I was told that adding louvers and taking the liner off the hood will make the jeep not cool properly. Have you noticed any change in the temp gauge, if you have one?

No nothing yet anyways. I didn't have a liner. I can't foresee their being any issues.

I think this is going to be one of my next projects.

Other than look, are there any concerns with placement?

Just avoiding the braces on the underside of the hood. I think I needed to be 5 1/2 inches from back of hood and 16 from front and I just missed them... u can kinda see that in my under hood pics.
