Hi guys and gals, I have a quick qestion about lights. Has anyone mounted them to your hood/winshield wiper cowl? I have two KC Daylighters that a friend gave me for free and was thinking about putting them on the far corners(close to the cab) of my hood or on the wiper cowl. Once I get more ill put them on a thule rack on the roof but i wanna work with what ive got. Any pro's or con's for on the hood? i can always bolt them to the front bumper but I wanted to be a little different. Any feedback would be great, thanks.

Referring to THESE?

Like other manufacturers, HCP has discontinued these due to overwhelming lack of interest and pitiful sales.
BUT, I have a few "some assembly required" sets.
Just need welding and finishing.
PM me if you're interested.

I'd rather have them higher up like the roof or the best result was right in front of the nose I'd rather see whats in front of me instead whats in front and the hood bright as day.

That first setup looks sweet. And you can fab something up for much less than 45 bucks!!! I am really liking the location of the first one. I am not a huge fan of the location of the ones on the red xj. Looks too much like a police car.
If you are looking for long distance lights this is the best location if you do not have a roof rack. If you want close distance lights this is the worst location because the light will simply light up your hood.

ok, so I ended up mounting them on my front bumper, and am pretty happy with the decision. If I had money I would definetly hit you up for one of the pillar kits but the lights should work where they are at for now. Also wired them up to my stock fog light switch which is pretty cool
