homemade sway bar disco help

Default homemade sway bar disco help

ok so heres the thing i got the hardware to make my discos took all bolts off except the t55 bolt it is a permanent bolt on my cherokee classic has anyone run into this and if so how can i work around it without cutting and drilling

the torx head is just there for looks pretty much haha, you have to either beat it out with a hammer, or use a press, i used a 3 jaw gear puller first, that didnt work to well, then i used a ball join press, which worked perfectly!, this was of course after breaking a t55 torx bit, then realized it was pressed in

i heard a pitman arm puller works well too

this morning i tried beating the t 55 out with no luck i was just bending the bracket for the bolt. ill have to cut and drill it out unfortunately my sawzaw is in my jobox at a demo job 15 miles away i wont b able to do it untill monday

We just heated it up till she was good and hot then beat it out. We tried beating it out cold but was bending the bracket.

I used a pitman arm puller to press mine out after the BFH method started bending the bracket, popped right out. If you have an Autozone store near you they have a loaner tool deal.

i know you dont have a torch but mine came out EASY once hot. heated em up, spun em with some vice grips and then one pop with a ball peen and out they came.
