That doesnt seem like it would be to strong. I got an in wide 2x2" square that i wielded on then rounded out with a grinder. broken 2 d rings yet to budge any of my mounts. just and idea.

If you build something, build it right. Any job, big or small, do it right, or not at all.

What if he used it and it snapped? that could really ruin somebody's day. Safety first!

The bumper does look good. Clean and simple = a great combination. But I would address that problem NOW.

I agree 100%, if he were to use that and something broke, you would be to blame, and thats no fun.
if i were you i would swap it out now while its easy, there are many things you can do to make those stronger, and any of them i would recommend over leaving it as is.

x2 The problem is even though not planning to, in a prdicament people dont always remember thats just for looks, if that snaps could be real dangerous when the rope or what ever goes flying at someone. Better to do it right, if you have the skill to make that nice of a bumper you have the skill to do it right.

X3....their could be an os situation where that bumper was put to the test....I've always beefed up any recovery point...it could be as simple as drilling a couple holes and thru-bolting as an added measure
