Joined the forum a few days ago, found this thread and read it from page one. Great ideas in here, and I will be doing a few found in here myself. I've a bone stock 96 zj limited, only "mod" done to it is the front drive shaft, we, well, the removal of it I guess... Crappy design of a joint connecting to the axle (not sure what its called... It's the front of the driveshaft, that connects to the front axle) exploded on me at about 45 mph. Not fun lol. Hoping to do a u joint conversion on it soon, if I can find a good conversion without breaking my bank. Most likely going to do a false floor this weekend if time allows. Will post pictures for sure.

Yeah... I know that. Didn't realize I asked a technical question... Just said the only mod I have done is the removal of the front drive shaft, because it blew up, and would like to do a conversion. Didn't ask how to do it, just explained my "homebrew mod." Lol.

Yeah lol. I'll pm you and try to explain it, since this is a homebrew thread, and my situation isn't home brew at all. The false floor and other ideas I want to do from this thread are.

Edit: yes! The cv joint kaboomed, so I'm running no front drive shaft. I want to convert the cv joint into a u joint.... Er I guess it would be a double u joint.
