Not bad. After most custom box builds with fiberglass they usually add a layer of bondo to fill the imperfections.

...and speaking of ghetto...

Do they make your fenders or other (previously unknown) loose parts rattle/buzz with every bass thump like those annoying low-riders that get beside you at traffic lights?

I spray foamed the holy hell out of that entire quarter panel before ever putting the sub in, from outside it doesn't rattle much at all.
And it is getting painted if I ever get around to finishing the bondo

Made a window guards out of a large galvanized dog cage that was being thrown out. I cut it to size, wired wheeled it, & sprayed it with bed liner.

The bottom fit behind the sheet metal tabs that hold the interior quarter panels. The rest holds it in tight. I don't plan on mounting anything heavy on them although I would trust it. It's just generally a bad idea no matter what it's mounted to. I mainly wanted to keep the dogs noses from smudging up the glass and get my poles somewhere out of the way. I know it looks like a bad idea as far as cleaning the windows, but I shouldn't have to clean them as often. I wanted to mount them on the outside of the interior panels but no matter how I would cut it, the bottom or top rails wouldn't line up with the interior. If it did it was sticking out interfering with using the seat belt.

Not sure if this counts as homebrew or not, but I had a steering wheel spinner off my lawn tractor sitting in my garage so I decided to attach it to the steering wheel in my Jeep to make turning in trails and mud and stuff a lot easier when I've got my head hanging out the window.

No actual pictures of it on my Jeep right now but here's a pic of what the spinner looks like and a picture of how it's mounted on a tractor, it's mounted the same on my Jeep.
