For that amount of weight on the front, I'm suprised she isnt sagging more on the nose. I suppose if someone did pull out in front of you, there wouldnt be much of them left to complain

I stick welder works fine. That's all I ever used. I just bought a mig welder a month ago and honestly haven't touched it yet. When I start, it's going to look bad... lol. Pretty simple, but gets the job done. Tube is 1.5" .120" wall and mounts are solid 1"x3" mounted to the hitch holes in the frame rails. Never seen it done this way but works good for me.

i built one out of 7 inch pipe 1/4 inch plate and 2 inch pipe
ok it is crazy overkill but no one pull out in front of me anymore

Most recent bumper i made out of some scrap i had, to deal with clearance issues.
Once i get out of school in may i would like to build F/R tube bumpers/flares/boatsides.
Edit/ noticed iowa boys about posted at the same time.

If you are still interested in building a back bumper for yourself, Im in the middle of making one for my jeep. I am using 2x6 tubing to stretch the width of my jeep, I made end caps that go along with the body conture out of 1/8 inch plate, and then have 2x4x1/4 inch tubing traveling 16" inside the frame to fully secure it to my jeep. I mainly am doing this though because Im making a swing away arm to hold my spare tire, 5 gallon gas can, and farm jack. Ill try to get some better pics up soon for ya if your still interested.
