Here I box tube and cut off a old hitch welded to a ford van door hinge and rim bolted to a D30 hub extended from a liberty front shaft.
I'm not done just yet.. Still have to add a little more strength.

Good idea! When your done, you could take a spare rim and that square tube and make a grill. I saw it on here and thought it was a GREAT idea. Btw, nice build

nice, i really wanna make something like that! the other one i saw used the mount and some of a bicycle holder for a hitch, it looked good too.. if only a company made these for like $150, i'd buy on in a heartbeat!
also, just a comment on your design, i bet you could shorten the square tube you have the tire mounted on to clear your canoe and put it in the receiver in the bumper so you can still tow a trailer at the same time! i think that could be awesome...
