I really dont know why anyone would want anymore then the 4.0... unless you're running tons with 4d's.. or got a XJ with the ole 2.8. The power of the 4.0 in mine is one of the reasons i like it so much. Yea on down the road i may make mine a stroker, but im completely content with the power it puts out now.

If your remotely close,
I got a 75 GMC Jimmy, 350 4 bolt main,
its complete just a rusted body.
The engine came from the factory with a .0005 bearing.
GM does not sell those bearings.
So it needs the crank turned, I installed new rings. and
even bearings but it rattled so I parked it.
Would be a good canidate for starting a crawler
project.

I plan on running a grand cherokee 318 with hopefully the ax15 dunno if it'll match or if they make adapter for it, and continue using the np231 with some d44's or overly big d60's cause i can get them pretty cheap from a scrapper friend.

'93-'95 ZJ's were available with the AX-15 5-spd trans. They're as rare as hen's teeth though.

I was 99% sure that there was a LIMITED but factory option for a V8. Now that no one has brought it up, im thinking I was misinformed. But I coulda swore it was possible to get one from factory, I think there might be one at the local yard.

I could be COMPLETELY WRONG, but next time I stop by the place I double check that xj. It will probably turn out to just be one of the old V6s though.

The hard part would be finding the Jeep 318 (5.2) bellhousing, not the trans.

Default v8?

my s-10 has never pulled out of this pit with its 350 and you can find lots of vids of v8s. I cant wait to get my 99 grand in there but it will be hard to beat my boy in my 4.0 powered, dana 30/35 cherokee. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=http:...?v=auz_mmxVk8g
