front stinger recovery bumper
i have been playing around building prototypes.
here is one i made last night. (made 2 more while i was at it)
made with 3/16x4 and 3/16x3/4 flat steel and 1 3/4 hrew. also has ballistic fabrication d-ring tabs.
this bumper mounts a little different than most. it has 3/16 "frame" tie-in plates that bolt on first using 6 bolts per side. then the bumper mounts to the tie-in plates. this essentially reinforces the "frame" at the bumper mouning points.(also works as a steering bow reinfocment plate!!!)
anyways, here is some pics front my crappy camera.
one of the others that i built has a rec hitch built in. i like the look better without, but the rec makes it so you can run a winch on a rec plate.
let me know what you guys think and if you have questions, feel free to ask!!

I am in the process of becoming a vendor. When I have pricing put together, and have a vendor status, I will post up in the vendor section.
Thanks for the interest!
Keep the critisism coming! Good or bad! It will only make things better!

Have you thought about reinforcing the stinger somehow? Maybe a bit smaller bars from it out to the corners or something? Just to keep it from folding back on the hood in the event of a front end collision. Just a thought

Yes, I am working out some gusseting. I personally dont like to encroach on things like safety items, such as the turn signals. that is the only reason there is no, support tubes on the stinger.
I personally think the stinger is too big for the consumer market. I will have a couple more prototypes built up tonight. Working on one with more of a pre-runner stinger, and also the new winch bumper/crossmember.

I agree with pretty much every part of that statement. Maybe look at how JCR did their new prerunner bars, they angle towards the outside corner of the turn signals then bend down to meet the bumper, keeps the blinkers exposed.

Cannot post pricing in the fabrication section. Pricing is still yet to be determined. When I have pricing, I will post in the vendors section.
Thanks for the interest!!
Here is another version. This stinger is about 6 inches shorter.

they look sick, more a fan of the last one with the shorter stinger... definitely interested when pricing and options come avail... hopefully there will be an options tab when ordering? and is there a way you could do a pre-runner with the stinger? maybe incorporate some kind of front skid on it?
good work man.
are those headlights on the jeep projector? if so where did you get them? ive been looking for a 7x6 smoked projector housings but havent had much luck, settled with the IPF's but still the light beam is scattered.
