that said, if you wanted to increase the travel of the suspension, but use the same shocks, you would raise the shock mounts, so you don't limit the suspension droop. then bump-stop accordingly so you don't wreck your shocks on up-travel.
yup that is right on as i can actually run a longer shock for drop because i have the bump stops set to limit the up travel. so i can get a longer shock to fit and gain more drop in the process. but dont forget to add limiting straps to the mix at some point

well, limiting straps depend on a couple other things too....how much flex will your control arms allow?

have you tilted your shocks out when you did the mounts?. I have a problem with my truck right now where I get the front end flexed out and my shock body hits the truck frame....and that's what limits it from flexing farther. it's also scary to have a $230 shock body resting against the frame...that's just potential to bend, and no thank you.

but yes, limiting straps are essential to keep you from using your shock as a limiting factor.

Missed this thread at first.

Look good man. If my shocks weren't so long I'd do this for sure. My MX6s hate bar pins.

Good fab work.

What's next?

A locker maybe or gears that's about all that is left before going bigger on the tire size when the 33's wear out.
