fixing quarter panels

ok guys i bought a 94 xj 3 weeks ago and the po hacked thefenders ang quarters im not sure what went wrong on the front but theres no flares but he fenders are wavy and bent up but the back was just hack no regard for the factory welds and its seperated i figrued beat the inner close to the outer and weld what do u guys think

Regarding the rear fenders where the idiot cut the pinch weld seam out, pop-rivet some sheet metal in, get some spray on bedliner and give it a few good coats to seal it all up. Alternatively, one can of Great Stuff foam will fill it right in, when it dries cut off the excess and give it a coat of spraypaint, looks like **** but its easy!

incorrect. you can take a junk cherokee and spend the time and effort to drill out the spot welds and seperate the outer rear quarter panel. trust me i know as i just did this to my junk one and plan to repair/replace my busted rear quater panel on my good xj. now it is going to be a fair amount of work to do but this is just another option for you.
