Station wagon- I can take this out easy, it just lifts up and slides out. And I wanted to bedline it cuz then it's scratch and water resistant. I do a lot of mountain biking and my front tire is usually wet and muddy and the bedliner is easy to clean.

Dont you think 2x6 is a bit heavy? I would just rip plywood for the supports, if constructed properly spliting should be an issue, and if you dont feel comfortable with that then get 1x6.
2x6 just seems to be bulky for this application

i have a dimond plate box the exact size of the space behind my seat my buddy got a extra one brand new one in the box 100.00 its yours its about 6 inches tall 4 handles and heavy duty clasp for lock on it instead of all that work i know of two xj owners with this box it fits mine perfect i love it
