Fender Trimming HELP
Alright, so i was on a trip out to Montauk this weekend, and during the highspeeds my leftfront fender flew off on the highway!! I decided it was pointless to go back for since it fell off everytime I went wheeling anyway, and that maybe it was a sign from god that i should finally take a wack at cutting my fenders...
So, first off to make this go thread go away, cuase im sure theres 100 of these, can anyone point me into the direction of a really really good writeup with pictures for doing the job right...
Or since most writeups that ive looked at dont explain how to first take off the outer "thing" that holds the fenders into place which on my 99' cherokee looks like black pins holding them in from behind the fender, which also holds the inner fender splash gaurds...
So can anyone tell me how to take these off without destroying them and doing it correctly...
thanks - peeJ

10mm nuts on the inside of the fender well hold those brackets on. I pulled the inner splash guards off and left them off. This makes getting to the nuts easier. If you have a salt belt XJ expect a few to break, but thats ok since you're pulling them off to trim anyways.
