xjbones: how much extra weight is that exo adding to your rig?

 

my friend's cherokee weighs in at 4300lbs with full exo, bumpers, swingout carrier, relocated radiator, no rear seats, cheromanche chop, 5 33x12.50, 6.5" lift, and removeable winch (reciever mount...weighs 120lbs with winch mounted)

prob around 120 lbs...not much at all.

 

axles added more than that so its really stable

 

i like your design on the cage i may copy it or use it as a start point one day for making my own

1.75" .120 wall weighs around 2lbs/foot. my cage took about 100' so 200lbs.

You have to look at it like this though, the weight is all spread out over the whole vehichle, not in one spot.

i works well, have put it on its side and didnt scatch anything but the cage. dont hear anymore creaking of the unibody.........
